On Aug. 16, Bayer filed a Writ of Certiorari with the US Supreme Court in response to a $25 million federal court verdict in the Edwin Hardeman trial. Hardeman and his legal team were able to prove in court that exposure to glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup) caused his non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

The verdicts in both state and federal court showed Monsanto and merged partner Bayer engaged in unfathomable amounts of dubious behavior by the manipulation of science and data for profit. The trial showed not only examples of permitted governmental access, and control of regulatory decisions but also a concerted effort in framing public opinion. All of this just to suppress that Glyphosate is known to cause cancer, and has been known to do so for decades. This is now all a matter of public record.
